Step into the time machine as we rewind a quarter of a century – an era when Stereo de Luxe's first release graced the vinyl realms. Back then it hit a quirky Berlin club scene full of dancers grooving along to lounge, pop, breakbeat and electro tunes in makeshift clubs and derelict buildings in the heart of the German capital. Releases on a bunch of record labels followed – and gathered some faithful followers from Tokyo to London to New York.

Yet, time seemed to play tricks on Stereo de Luxe as their sounds always seemed to take a detour before catching the attention of media, advertising, and film decision-makers. A delayed revelation, spanning several years, even a decade, until their tracks were to become the sonic backdrop for mainstream adverts and TV series.

Were their sounds just slightly ahead of their time? And if so, how should artworks ahead of their time be dealt with?
Visionary artist Hilma af Klint’s decided to have her paintings exhibited only 20 years after her passing.

Stereo de Luxe decided not to wait that long – Now, right in time to mark their 25th anniversary of their first release, an Archive Series unveils tracks crafted between 2010 and 2016. This first EP is ready to transport you through time and space, fusing past and future in a sonic adventure. Because for Stereo de Luxe, being ahead of the curve is timeless.
